Multimodal Cancer Therapy

Multimodal cancer therapy, also called multimodal therapy or multimodal cancer care, is an approach to cancer treatment that combines more than one therapeutic modality, such as surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy. In mesothelioma, for example, treatment may combine several of these modalities at once, and such combinations can produce synergistic effects that lead to better clinical outcomes than any one modality alone.
