Reflex locomotion, also known as the Vojta method, is a technique for treating physical and mental impairment, created by Vaclav Vojta out of 1950s research into treatments for children with spastic muscular disorders. The therapy applies pressure to specific reflex points on the body, aiming to activate major muscle groups, regulate breathing and increase mental activity. Although some classify it as alternative medicine, research has been reported to support its effectiveness for certain orthopedic and neurological conditions.
