Kidney cancer, also called renal cancer, is a group of cancers that originate in the kidney. Symptoms can include blood in the urine, a lump in the abdomen, or back pain, and as the disease progresses, fever, weight loss, and fatigue may also occur. The main types include renal cell cancer, which accounts for the large majority of cases, transitional cell cancer, and Wilms' tumor, which occurs mainly in children.
