FAQs

Can the benzoyl peroxide in Proactiv bleach fabric and hair?

The National Health Service says benzoyl peroxide may bleach clothing, other fabrics and hair.

The Proactiv Solutions routine starts with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser. For benzoyl peroxide acne products in general, the UK National Health Service tells users not to get the medicine onto clothing, other fabrics or hair, because it may bleach them. That is a general warning about the ingredient, not a test of any one Proactiv product. This entry records what a health authority says and is not medical advice.
