Antifungal and Antiparasitic Therapy

Drug therapies that target fungi and parasites, including insects such as lice. This includes antifungal therapy for yeast and mold infections, antiparasitic therapy generally, antimalarial therapy for the malaria parasite, and treatment of human lice with a medicated shampoo or lotion. Bacterial and viral infections are grouped instead under antimicrobial and antiviral therapy, since they involve a different kind of organism and a different class of drug even when the two groups are prescribed together for a mixed infection.
