Automated insulin delivery systems are automated systems that assist people with insulin-requiring diabetes by adjusting insulin delivery in response to blood glucose levels. Currently available systems deliver a single hormone, insulin, while systems in development aim to add one or more additional hormones to more closely reproduce the endocrine function of the pancreas.
