Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone replacement therapy, also known as androgen replacement therapy, is a form of hormone therapy in which androgens, most often testosterone, are supplemented or replaced in the body. It is typically given through injections, skin creams, patches, gels, pills, or implanted pellets placed under the skin. It is most often prescribed to counter the effects of male hypogonadism, a condition in which the body does not produce enough testosterone on its own.
