Drama therapy, also called acting therapy or actor therapy, is the use of acting techniques by actors and non-actors alike to facilitate personal growth and promote mental health. It is used in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, mental health centers, prisons and businesses, and as a modality of the creative arts therapies it exists in many forms that can apply to individuals, couples, families and various groups.
