Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention for patients and their loved ones that provides information and support to better understand and cope with illness. It is most often associated with serious mental illness, including schizophrenia, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and personality disorders, though the term has also been used for programs addressing physical illnesses such as cancer.
