Concentrative movement therapy (CMT) is a psychotherapeutic method for group and individual therapy based on thought models drawn from psychodynamic psychotherapy and depth psychology. Taking as its starting point the theory, developed by Viktor von Weizsacker, that perception is composed of both sensation and experience, CMT is concerned with the conscious perception of the body in the here and now, understood against the background of an individual's own life and learning history.
