Single-port laparoscopy is a technique in laparoscopic surgery in which the surgeon operates almost exclusively through a single entry point, typically the patient's navel, rather than through the several incisions used in traditional multi-port laparoscopy. Because it uses only one entry site, the technique leaves just a single small scar.
