Burch colposuspension is a surgical procedure used to treat urinary incontinence caused by pelvic floor relaxation. The paravaginal fascia is attached to Cooper's ligament, suspending the prolapsed urethra so that the urethrovesical junction and proximal urethra are repositioned within the abdominal cavity.
