Culdoscopy is an endoscopic procedure in which a culdoscope is introduced through the posterior wall of the vagina to examine the rectouterine pouch and the pelvic organs. Its name comes from cul-de-sac, the French term for the rectouterine pouch that the procedure is designed to reach.
