Orchiectomy is a surgical procedure in which one or both testicles are removed. It may be performed as treatment for testicular cancer, as part of gender-affirming surgery for transgender women and non-binary people, as management for advanced prostate cancer, to remove a testis damaged by torsion or trauma, or as a treatment for post-vasectomy pain syndrome.
