Transillumination

Surgical Procedure

Transillumination is a medical examination technique in which light is passed through a body part or sample to illuminate it from within, rather than being reflected off its surface. It is used in a variety of imaging methods to reveal internal structures or abnormalities that would not otherwise be visible from outside.
