Perineoplasty

Perineoplasty, also called perineorrhaphy, is a plastic surgery procedure that corrects damage, defects, or deformity of the vagina and anus, addressing conditions including vaginal looseness, damaged perineal tissue, fecal incontinence, vaginal stenosis, vaginismus, vulvar vestibulitis, and reduced sexual sensation. It is performed in two variants, one that tightens the perineal muscles and vaginal structures and one that loosens them, chosen according to the condition being treated. Surgical correction commonly involves a V-shaped incision, with the exact technique varying by the severity of the damage and the degree of correction sought.
