Traditional Chinese and East Asian Medicine

Physicians and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the related traditional healing systems of East Asia, including acupuncture, Japanese energy healing and the traditional medicine of Vietnam that grew from Chinese models. This covers ancient and legendary Chinese physicians credited as founders of the tradition's diagnostic and herbal canon, the founders and transmitters of Japanese acupuncture and of Reiki, a Vietnamese physician working within a Chinese-influenced medical tradition, and non-Chinese practitioners, including Western and African physicians, who trained formally in Chinese acupuncture and built their own practice or institution on that training. A martial artist remembered equally as a folk physician practicing within the Chinese medical tradition also belongs here.
